Treadmill (effort) Test

Güncelleme Tarihi: 07/09/2018

The effort test is to record the ECG of the patient walking on a rotating band on the monitor. During the walk, the patient's heart rate and blood pressure both rise. This is a force for the heart, which allows hidden vein problems to become apparent or visible. However, this test result does not always mean "there is a disease". This is called "false positives". This is especially common in women between 30-40 years of age. A normal test does not guarantee that there will be no problems in the heart. It is very important to evaluate the patients by a doctor before taking the effort test, especially the rest ECGs. Tests can not be interpreted correctly in patients with some ECG changes. These patients are directed to appropriate examinations for themselves.
